Meet Eva Astoul from Green With Less

Minimalism and sustainability writer. Helping you simplify your home, reduce toxins and waste, and live more intentionally — one practical guide at a time.

My Story

Hi, I’m Eva — the writer and researcher behind Green With Less.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve lived simply. Growing up, I naturally gravitated toward frugality, sustainability, and making things myself. I cared deeply about nature and reducing waste. Not because anyone told me to, but because it felt right. Low consumption wasn’t a lifestyle choice for me; it was just who I was.

When I discovered minimalism in 2017, something shifted. I was a student at the time, overwhelmed, overstuffed, living in a tiny space with too much of everything and never enough energy or clarity. Minimalism gave me a framework for something I had always felt instinctively: that less really is more. I started simplifying every corner of my life — my wardrobe, my home, my routines, my spending — and found exactly the lightness and freedom I had been searching for.

That intentional approach to owning less naturally deepened my commitment to sustainable and non-toxic living too. When you stop buying impulsively, you start asking better questions: what is this made of, where does it come from, is it safe? Over a decade of living this way has given me a genuine understanding of what works, what doesn’t, and what’s actually worth your time and money.

That’s what Green With Less is built on: real experience, honest research, and a genuine belief that small, intentional changes can make a big difference.

My Credentials

Green With Less is my full-time work, and I take the responsibility of recommending products and lifestyle changes seriously.

Here’s what I bring to every article I publish:

  • 9 years of personally living a minimalist lifestyle and over a decade of eco-friendly, non-toxic living
  • Almost 300 articles published on minimalism, decluttering, sustainability, non-toxic living, and intentional living
  • 4 years of professional writing for sustainable brands and publications, including Sustainably Chic, one of the most respected sustainable lifestyle blogs online
  • Thorough research into materials, ingredients, certifications, and brand ethics before recommending any product — across fashion, clean beauty, kitchen, home goods, travel, and kids categories
  • A Master’s degree with coursework in international supply chains, giving me a grounded understanding of how global production, materials sourcing, and sustainability certifications actually work in practice

My Approach

I don’t believe in perfection. I believe in progress.

I’m not going to tell you to throw everything away overnight or spend a fortune on organic everything. My guides are practical because my life is practical. I regularly declutter, rarely buy new things, and when I do, I research carefully and prioritize sustainable and non-toxic options. I’m not perfect, and I don’t expect you to be either.

What I can promise: every recommendation on this site is backed by genuine research. I look at materials, certifications, ingredient lists, brand transparency, and whenever possible, personal experience. I only share what I would genuinely use for my own home. My goal is to make intentional living feel accessible, not overwhelming.

A Little More About Me

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me with a cup of tea, lost in a historical romance novel, sewing, or walking near the water. I live slowly and intentionally — close to nature, away from noise — and I’ve built Green With Less to reflect exactly that.
