I collect your data to make sure that this blog can work properly, to learn more about visitors’ behavior, and to give them access to certain functionalities. I also need certain information to be able to contact you by email if needed or to send you my newsletter (if you are subscribed to it). I use MailerLite to send my newsletter to this blog’s subscribers. When you subscribe to this newsletter, you give consent for your data to be transferred to MailerLite. Please read their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Embedded content from other websites

Ads are displayed on this blog by our partners Google Adsense and Mediavine.

Google Adsense and Mediavine may use cookies, web beacons or JavaScripts, and have access to your IP address. These tracking technologies help us monitor how advertising campaigns are performing, and are useful to personalize the ad content to viewers according to their preferences (and previous websites that they’ve visited).

As this blog’s owner, I do not control or have access to cookies used by Mediavine and Google Adsense. Green With Less’ privacy policy doesn’t apply to third-party ad networks, so please read Mediavine’s Privacy Policy as well as Google Adsense’s one.

Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)

The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. Who has access to your data

I may need to share your data:

  • With service providers who help me with business operations, to monitor the use of, to contact you… These can include, among others, data analysis, hosting, marketing, spam detection services, maintenance, email delivery services…
  • With other readers of this blog. If you interact with other visitors or share personal information on this blog, every visitor will be able to see what you shared and it might be publicly distributed outside of this blog.
  • With someone that you explicitly agreed to have your information transferred to.
  • With third parties if I find it necessary or appropriate, always in compliance with applicable laws

How long is your data retained

I will keep and use your personal information for the period necessary to comply with my legal obligations, to make sure that my legal agreements and policies are respected, and to resolve possible disputes.

As for usage data, I collect it for internal analysis purposes, and generally keep it for shorter periods, unless I am legally compelled to keep it for longer, or if I need it to improve this blog’s functionality and security.

All the comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely. Google Analytics keeps visitors’ personal information for 50 months. Data you enter in contact forms is saved indefinitely as Contact Form 7 (the service used to display contact forms) may need it for future reference. The rights you have over your data

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), every visitor has the right to access their personal data, to request rectification of any inaccurate or incomplete information, and to ask for the erasure of their personal data under certain conditions (this doesn’t include the data we have to retain for legal, security or administrative purposes).

Your information is processed on my computer, as I am this blog’s administrator, and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located.
